Darwin Climate

Darwin Beach ClimateDarwin is situated on the Timor Sea, but the actual city is built on a bluff overlooking the harbour with Frances Bay to the East and Cullen Bay to the West.  The weather in Darwin is always warm and the temperature rarely goes below 20C overnight.

Darwin has a tropical climate with a wet and dry season.   The wet season, November-March, receives heavy rainfall (160cm), is very humid and has amazing lightning. In fact, Darwin is the most lightning prone place in the entire world.

The dry season, May-October, has very predictable Darwin weather resulting in many fun dry season activities throughout the city and a huge tourist crowd. The hottest month in Darwin is November as it is the build-up to the wet season. The average temperature is 32 Degrees Celsius all year round.
